Cryosurgery is a minimally invasive cosmetic and medical treatment that involves using liquid nitrogen as a cooling spray or foam to treat skin or internal body disorders.

The therapy is used to treat lesions, such as those that can cause Infertility, and also benign skin conditions that include lymphocytoma cutis resulting from a reaction to tattoo application. Lymphocytoma cutis should be treated because the irritation can spread, become infected and cause pain.

Will Cryosurgery affect your tattoo?

Cryosurgery is used to freeze the inflamed cells affected by lymphocytoma cutis and will destroy the irritated tattoed tissue. The answer is “yes”,  Cryosurgery will affect your tattoo because it is designed to removed the damaged tissue caused by lymphocytoma cutis. An alternative for tattoo removal is laser therapy.

Will Cryosurgery affect your hair?

When your tattoo infected with lymphocytoma cutis is treated through Cryosurgery, any hair in that inflamed skin region will also be removed. The procedure can also affect healthy skin tissue and as a side-effect cause hair loss. Qualified medical and cosmetic practitioners are trained to minimize any risks associated with the treatment. Seeking a professional for advice is recommended. Cryosurgery is also used to remove course hair.

Laser Alternative

In contrast to the effect of Cryosurgery, low-level laser therapy can actually be used to stimulate hair follicles by “photo-biostimulation” that can help hair growth or different laser wavelengths can be used for safe laser hair removal, and tattoo removal.

There are a number of risks associated with breast augmentation that range from slightly uncomfortable to extremely dangerous. You need to be educated and aware of the possible risks and warning signs so that you can attain help as soon as the problem occurs. A hematoma is a collection of blood in a body cavity and can occur postoperatively and can cause infection or contracture. These will usually occur right after surgery but can also occur if there is injury to the breast. A large hematoma can require a surgical drain to properly heal and this will leave a scar so it is best to discover the problem as soon as possible.

Displacement can occur in women who choose to have very large implants and if the implant moves a lot you will need surgery to put it back in place. Necrosis is dead tissue around the implant and if this occurs you will need surgery to repair it or you will need to have the implant removed. With necrosis permanent deformity can occur. There is a small chance that you will experience loss of sensation or total numbness after having a breast enlargement. If you choose to have saline implants you have a higher risk of experience rippling which occurs with movement on the surface of the breast.

There is always a chance that your breast implant will rupture or leak. Sometimes this occurs within the first few months of surgery and when it does you need to alert your physician right away to have it replaced. If you have a saline implant and it ruptures the saline will be absorbed by your body and it will be very noticeable; however, if your implant is silicone gel you need to be checked every two years to make sure no leak has occurred because you might not notice it at all. Overfilling the implants is a good way to make sure they don’t leak or deflate.

Rhinoplasty: Reshaping the Nose

Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery that reshapes the nose. It is one of the most common procedures done by plastic surgeons, with nearly a half million rhinoplasties performed in the United States every year. The primary objective of this surgery, when it is done for cosmetic purposes, is to bring symmetry to the patient’s face.

The nose is the prominent facial feature. When it is out of proportion or has other unattractive features the face appears to be out of balance. Restoring symmetry to the face through rhinoplasty can improve the profile, eliminate bumps, humps or depressions on the bridge of the nose, reduce the tip of the nose, reshape the nostrils and alter the angle of the nose.

During the procedure the surgeon will make incisions inside the nose to provide access to the bone and cartilage that will be sculpted. In some cases, it is necessary to make an incision on the band of skin that separates the nostrils. The skin is pulled back and sculpting begins. The cartilage on the tip of the nose may be sculpted to reshape or reduce size or the angle of the nose may be altered to correct a distortion. It is also common to reduce the width at the bridge of the nose and alter the size and shape of the nostrils. Not all of the procedures can be done on every patient.

Once the surgeon has finished nose reshaping , the skin is draped back over the cartilage and bone and sutured closed. A splint will be used to help keep the new shape in place while the nose heals. Nasal supports that allow the patient to breathe through the nose may also be placed in the nostrils to keep the septum stable during the healing process. The presence of visible scarring will depend on the type of rhinoplasty performed.
